The rate and boundary import process was referring to the Update Number in the DZ Tax Detail Supplement table to determine if the tax detail has already been updated during the current import. If it had already been updated, the update process was not repeated in order to help speed up the import. Since the exempt detail is created/updated immediately after the taxable detail and both details are linked to the same detail supplement record, the update number was already updated prior to the creation/update of the exempt detail. This resulted in the creation/update of the exempt detail to be skipped.

When Debug mode is enabled in the DynamicZip menu, the repetitive updates are not skipped.

The failure to create or update exempt tax details can be corrected by enabling Debug in the DynamicZip menu of the DZ Rate and Boundary Import window window prior to importing.
