Since some companies need to track sales to jurisdictions that don't collect taxes, selecting this check box in the DZ State Setup window will allow DynamicZip to create the zero rate tax details for those jurisdictions that don't collect taxes.

This is most commonly an issue when a state's taxes must be reported by county and some counties do not collect taxes. If this option is not selected, all of the non-taxing counties in the state may get grouped and totaled together in the DynamicZip Tax Reports.

As of Build 72 this option was enhanced by making it possible to track tax free counties, tax free cities, or both. Prior to this build the only choice was to track tax free jurisdictions which was essentially the same as tracking tax free cities.

If this option is not selected, then no tax detail will be created for a county or city that does not charge tax.

If this option is selected, a zero rate tax detail will be created by the Rate & Boundary Import for those counties and cities which do not charge tax. These tax details will be assigned to the appropriate Zip Code Tax Schedule which will result in identifying the transaction's county and/or city.
