Exempt Tax Schedule

DynamicZip considers a tax schedule to be exempt if it is a Zip Code Exempt Schedule, a Statewide Exempt Tax Schedule or optionally if the word “EXEMPT” is embedded anywhere in the Tax Schedule ID.

Logically, all of the Tax Details that are associated with the Exempt Tax Schedule should have a zero tax rate. However, DynamicZip looks only at the Tax Schedule ID to determine if the Tax Schedule is Exempt.

The primary purpose for using Exempt Tax Schedules is for tracking and reporting exempt transactions. The most positive way to identify a transaction's Tax Location is by refering to the tax details attached to the transaction. If you use Exempt Tax Schedules, then DynamicZip will be able to report your exempt transactions as accurately as your taxable transactions.
