  • State Code
• Character 3
  • S = Sales Tax
  • U = Use Tax
• Character 4
  • S = State Tax
  • M = State Local Tax
  • N = County Tax
  • L = County Local Tax
  • T = City Tax
  • Y = City Local Tax
• Character 5 - 11
  • Condensed description
• Character 12 - 14
  • Sequential number to make each ID unique
• Character 15
  • [blank] = normal taxable
  • A = above split (tax rate changes with sale amount)
  • V = City tax on sale above county maximum
  • X = normal exempt
  • Y = [A] exempt
  • Z = [V] exempt
