DZ Sales Batch Processing revert to default
Situation
When Tax by Item Category is enabled and a document includes a line-item with a category of FREIGHT for a state that is set to Base Freight Tax on Sales in SOP, if based on the state setup option, freight should be taxed and the FREIGHT line-item is set to base on customer with a taxable schedule ID, DZ Sales Batch Processing was accepting this situation even when the FREIGHT item is set to taxable and assigned a tax schedule in item maintenance. This is technically not correct since DZ Sales Batch Processing should reset all items and customers to the taxability that has been setup in Dynamics and DynamicZip.
Example
- FREIGHT is not setup in TBIC for the state
- and that same state has freight setup to be based on sales in the DZ State Setup window
- and a document with that same state as its tax location includes taxable items
- and the document includes a line-item that has a category of FREIGHT
- and the FREIGHT line-item is set to be taxable with a specified tax schedule in item maintenance.
- Then freight will be taxable because of the Base Freight Tax on Sales in SOP selection.
Using this example, prior to this update, if the FREIGHT was set to base on customer, DZ Sales Batch Processing accepted that setting instead of reverting it to taxable using the tax schedule specified in item maintenance.
Resolution
Using the above example, DZ Sales Batch Processing will revert the line-item FREIGHT charge to taxable using the tax schedule specified in item maintenance.
This was completed in the following builds:
