DynamicZip Address Supplement records are used to assist in consistent tax schedule assignment for a particular address. As taxes are added and removed in each area, the selection of available tax schedule choices will change. It is important that DynamicZip is able to assign the appropriate tax schedule from the available choices when the current schedule is no longer valid or has been removed. The address supplement records help to make this possible.

The address supplement records have the following fields that are used for this purpose:

• Geocode
• ZIP code
• Country code
• Outside City Limits
• Lock Tax Location

When the lock tax location is not selected, DynamicZip attempts to keep the address supplement in sync with the address on the card. The following methods are used to do this:

• When the address card itself is modified and saved, DynamicZip updates the address supplement to match.
• When the Prepopulate Address Supplement process is run. This process can be run from the DynamicZip menu choice on the Address Supplement window. It also runs automatically prior to importing new Zip Addresses.

When lock tax location is selected, DynamicZip does not modify the address supplement.
