The Select Default Tax Schedule option in the DynamicZip Setup window will cause DynamicZip to automatically select a tax schedule even when multiple choices exist.
When there is only one tax schedule that is not for a city, county, state and/or ZIP that is different than the Tax Location's city, county, state and ZIP, that single choice is not considered to be a default and will be selected even if this option not selected.
The default tax schedule for a particular ZIP Code is determined using the following criteria:
When assigning a tax schedule, DynamicZip will select the schedule with the highest priority that is not for a city, county, state and/or ZIP that is different than the Tax Location's city, county, state and ZIP.

The CCH ZIPsales Database identifies which address selection is the default, when a ZIP Code spans multiple cities and/or counties. This was done based on a flag indicating which choice had the highest population.
