Use Advanced Tax Calculation

Use Advanced Tax Calculation (ATC) with Tax By Item Category (TBIC).

This option is available in the DynamicZip Setup window. This option affects the way the Tax By Item Category feature behaves in conjunction with the Taxable Tax Option in the following ways:

• When this option is selected, the Item Tax Option will be set to Taxable and the Item Tax Schedule ID will be set to the Tax Schedule ID specified in the DZ Tax By Item Category Setup window. This results in using Advanced Tax Calculation.
• When this option is NOT selected, the Item Tax Option will be set to Base on Customer and the Sales Item Detail Entry window Ship To Tax Schedule ID will be set to the Tax Schedule ID specified in the DZ Tax By Item Category Setup window. This results in using Base On Customer.

IMPORTANT: Sales Order Processing window level Freight and Misc Charges are not affected by this option. Because modifying the Document's Ship To Tax Schedule ID could cause unwanted effects, window level Freight and Misc Charges will always use ATC regardless of this setting.

NOTE: Prior to Build 72 this option was called Use Advanced Tax Calc and affected the Tax By Item Class functionality as opposed to the newer Tax By Item Category functionality.
