How do I use the DynamicZip Report Wizard?

The DynamicZip™ Report Wizard will assist you in creating new report options.

Create Report For

The DynamicZip Report Wizard now includes predefined reports for all states with a sales tax. You can select a state or select N/A (manual).

Sales or Purchases

If your report is for sales tax select Sales, otherwise select Purchases.

Tax Source (Transaction Type Purchases)

There are 3 choices to select from:

Format Output For

Standard: The standard report format prints a normal report with headers, footers, and totals. As with other reports, you can print to the printer, screen, or to a file.

Spreadsheet: The only output option for the spreadsheet report format is to file. The advantage of this format is that it provides a quick and clean method to open your Great Plains sales tax information in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft® Excel. Please see Sales Tax – Option D for more information.

Group Tax Amounts By

Tax Detail: With this selection, the total tax amount of a document can be broken down further, for example, by how much of that tax is city, county, or state (i.e. by tax detail).

Document: With this selection, the total tax amount of a document will not be broken down further. Please see Sales Tax – Option B for more information.

Primary Sort Order

Select your sort order here. This selection determines the sort order and what additional information and totals will appear on the report. Administrator works well for reports that require a breakdown by authority. Jurisdiction is a good choice if you don't require the breakdown.

Level of Detail

Report Option Name

This is the name that will appear in the DZ Report options scrolling window.
