Overview of DynamicZip Features

DynamicZip Sales Tax Software creates and maintains sales and use tax details and schedules for the USA, its territories and Canada. The source of the tax rates and setup information is a rate & boundary database (available separately).

While entering or modifying customer and vendor addresses in Microsoft Dynamics GP DynamicZip will automatically populate the city and state fields based on the ZIP Code. A lookup window can be set to automatically open when multiple choices exist for that ZIP Code.

Based on the ship-to address, DynamicZip will automatically select the appropriate tax schedule for sales transactions. A look-up window can be set to automatically open when multiple choices exist for that address.

Customers can be flagged as taxable or exempt by state.

Categories of inventory goods and services can be flagged as taxable or exempt by state.

DynamicZip can accrue use tax on purchases, even if the tax is not billed by the vendor. Tax transaction history is created for the accrual to make it easy to report use tax on purchases.

DynamicZip provides a comprehensive selection of sort orders and range restrictions for each of its various sales and use tax reports. These sales and use tax reports are extracted from the transaction history retained in the Dynamics modules. A single report can include transactions from multiple modules. In addition, the reports can be run using cash basis which provides sales tax information related to cash receipts during a range of dates. Summary and detailed reports are available - allowing you to see just the totals or any level of detail right down to the individual tax details on individual documents.
