This range was added to facilitate the preparation of the sales tax return for the state of Georgia prior to build 60. The ZIPsales Database combines all of the County Local taxes into a single tax detail. Georgia requires that they be reported separately. To help provide this information, DynamicZip handles this range differently than normal ranges in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

If the starting and ending values are the same, all Authorities that include that value will be included. In other words, if MARTA is used as the starting and ending value for the range, all details whose Authority includes MARTA will be included regardless of whether the Authority field starts with MARTA, ends with MARTA or has MARTA embedded somewhere in the middle.

If the starting and ending values are different, the range will be handled as normal. The benefit of this feature is that it allows a report to be generated that is limited to all sales taxable under a specific Authority such as MARTA.

NOTE: In the case of County Local taxes, the sales amounts are subtotaled by county, as well as by state.
