Permission to access this window is granted to the Tax Setup Task.

You can add ZIP Codes to the DZ Zip Address table from this window. Entries will be added automatically to this table for the U.S. cities included in the Rate & Boundary Database.

To prevent a manual entry from being removed by the Rate & Boundary import Purge Zip Addresses process you can select the Do Not Purge check box.

Prior to Build 74, manual entries were protected from purge by the Update Number. If the Update Number field was set to 2147483647, this Zip Address record would not be removed by the Rate & Boundary import Purge Zip Addresses process. (2,147,483,647 is the maximum value for a Dexterity Long Integer.)

NOTE: If you wish to change the spelling or abbreviation of an existing Zip Address record we advise using the DZ FIPS Codes window and then re-importing the Rate & Boundary Database. The primary functions of this window are to add addresses that are not included in the Rate & Boundary import and to view existing Zip Address table records.

• If the Default for Zip check box is selected, that ZIP Code is the default for the times when a ZIP Code is in multiple cities and counties.
• If the Default County check box is selected, that county is the default for the times when there are multiple counties for a ZIP Code and city combination.
• You can sort the entries in this window by ZIP Code or City.
