The basis for DynamicZip tax reports is the tax details saved with the transaction history. When a line-item, freight or miscellaneous charge is set to nontaxable, then no tax is calculated and no tax details are saved with the transaction history associated with these nontaxable charges. By setting the charge to base on customer but with an exempt tax schedule, then tax details (with a zero tax amount) do get saved with transaction history and provide more complete information for the DynamicZip tax reports. Prior to this update, using exempt schedules for nontaxable items was not optional. This could create a problem when using custom tax schedules.

Using exempt schedules for nontaxable items is now an option that can be set in the DynamicZip Setup window.
