When using the Base Freight Tax on Sales in SOP option for a state that also has the FREIGHT category setup in TBIC can produce confusing results on the DZ Sales Batch Processing report.

• Tax by Item Category (TBIC) is selected in the DynamicZip Setup window
• TBIC has FREIGHT setup to be nontaxable in a state
• and that same state has freight setup to be based on sales in the DZ State Setup window
• and a document with that same state as its tax location includes taxable items.
• Then freight will be taxed¹⁾ because of the Base Freight Tax on Sales in SOP selection.

Using this example, prior to this update, if the freight is set to base on customer, the DZ Sales Batch Processing report shows that the freight should be nontaxable but after processing it correctly remains set to base on customer. Only the report was in error.

Using the above example, if the freight is set to base on customer, the DZ Sales Batch Processing report will not show that it should be changed to nontaxable.
