DZ Extended Tax Recalculation has been added with Build 70. Previously only DZ Tax Recalculation was available. We have retained DZ Tax Recalculation to preserve backward compatibility.

Available via the Additional Menu from the SOP Sales Transaction Entry window. When this menu item is selected, the following process will run:

1. The document will be temporarily cleared from the window.
2. ZipAddressing will be run on the document Tax Location.
3. Customer's Taxable Status will be checked based on the document Tax Location.
4. Tax Schedule Selection will be run on the document Tax Location.
5. Tax By Item Category will be run on freight and miscellaneous charges.
6. ZipAddressing will be run on each line-item's ship-to address.
7. Customer's Taxable Status will be checked for each line-item's Tax Location.
8. Tax Schedule Selection will be run on each line-item's Tax Location.
9. Tax By Item Category will be run on each line-item on the document
10. The document will be reloaded into the window.
11. The Microsoft Dynamics GP tax engine will be called to recalculate the document's tax.
12. If a change was made a report will print (to window) explaining what changed. Please see Silent DZ Extended Tax Recalculation.

Prior to Build 72 if the document had been modified since it was opened in the window, the user is prompted to save the changes. The document must then be reloaded and the menu item selected again. As of Build 72, the saving and reloading is handled automatically.
