Country Default FAQ
How do I set the default country value for my U.S. addresses?
- Open the DynamicZip Setup window.
- Select the checkbox for Country Default for U.S.A., and then enter the country code that you wish to use for all of the addresses in the United States.Examples: USA, U.S.A., US. NOTE: Country codes are not the same as Country names. Please see your Microsoft Dynamics GP documentation for more information.
- Press the OK button to save and close the DynamicZip Setup window.
- Import the Rate & Boundary Database. This will update the DZ Zip Address table with your new Country Default for U.S.A. value. Hint: You might be able to save time by importing only the addresses. For more information, please see DZ Zip Address Import window.
- Update your customer address cards with the DZ Customer Address Correction window. NOTE: DynamicZip identifies United States addresses based on if they have a 5 digit ZIP Code. If you have customers in other countries which also use 5 digit ZIP/postal codes, then consider enabling Restrict By Country for ZipAddressing and manually updating the foreign customer addresses' with a Country Code before you run Address Correction.
- Run the Assign Tax Schedules routine to verify or update the customers' tax schedule IDs.
