Country Default FAQ

How do I set the default country value for my U.S. addresses?

  1. Select the checkbox for Country Default for U.S.A., and then enter the country code that you wish to use for all of the addresses in the United States.Examples: USA, U.S.A., US. NOTE: Country codes are not the same as Country names. Please see your Microsoft Dynamics GP documentation for more information.
  2. Press the OK button to save and close the DynamicZip Setup window.
  3. Import the Rate & Boundary Database. This will update the DZ Zip Address table with your new Country Default for U.S.A. value. Hint: You might be able to save time by importing only the addresses. For more information, please see DZ Zip Address Import window.
  4. Update your customer address cards with the DZ Customer Address Correction window. NOTE: DynamicZip identifies United States addresses based on if they have a 5 digit ZIP Code. If you have customers in other countries which also use 5 digit ZIP/postal codes, then consider enabling Restrict By Country for ZipAddressing and manually updating the foreign customer addresses' with a Country Code before you run Address Correction.
  5. Run the Assign Tax Schedules routine to verify or update the customers' tax schedule IDs.
