At the present time we are not aware of a way to reconcile these reports for the following reasons:

• The Microsoft Dynamics GP Tax Period Report draws its numbers directly from the tax detail records attached to transactions. This means that if a transaction or even a line item on a transaction has no tax details then those sales numbers will not be included in the Microsoft Dynamics GP Tax Period Report.
• DynamicZip tax reports on the other hand attempt to identify the tax jurisdiction and include the sales numbers even when a transaction has no tax details attached to it. For additional information please refer to Sort by Jurisdiction.
• The Microsoft Dynamics GP Tax Period Reports are based on numbers that are accumulated during the posting process. This means that the reports are available in summary only. Printing them with the underlying detail is not an option. This leaves us without the ability to see exactly where the numbers are coming from.
• The DynamicZip tax reports are extracted from your retained transaction history. This means that if history is removed, it will no longer be available for DynamicZip reports. As long as the history is there, the reports can be printed in detail or in summary. The gives us the ability to see exactly where the numbers are coming from.
• The Microsoft Dynamics GP Tax Period Reports can include tax on purchases and tax on sales on the same report. The DynamicZip tax reports will be one or the other but not both.

A better way to reconcile the DynamicZip tax reports is to reconcile them to your Financials sales tax posting accounts. For additional information please see How do I set the sales tax posting account FAQ.
