How do I update a single state or group of states?

DynamicZip has a function called Group ID to allow for a single state or group of states to be linked together for things like the Rate & Boundary Import, Assign Tax Schedules and Address Correction routines.

From the DZ Rate and Boundary Import window, DZ Assign Customer Tax Schedules window or the DZ Customer Address Correction window.

  1. Clear the Update all states check box.
  2. Enter or lookup a Group ID if one exists, or you can add a new Group ID by typing a new Group ID name into the Group ID field. When you tab off the field you will have the opportunity to add the new Group ID.
    • As of Build 74, if you enter a valid 2 letter state code as the Group ID, DynamicZip will automatically add a “group” containing only that state. In that case, the next two steps can be skipped.
  3. Select Add, and the DZ State Group Setup window will open allowing you to add as many states as desired to the Group ID.
  4. Close the DZ State Group Setup window when finished.
  5. The single state (or group of states) should now be displayed in the scrolling window.
