How do I update a single state or group of states?
DynamicZip has a function called Group ID to allow for a single state or group of states to be linked together for things like the Rate & Boundary Import, Assign Tax Schedules and Address Correction routines.
From the DZ Rate and Boundary Import window, DZ Assign Customer Tax Schedules window or the DZ Customer Address Correction window.
- Clear the Update all states check box.
- Enter or lookup a Group ID if one exists, or you can add a new Group ID by typing a new Group ID name into the Group ID field. When you tab off the field you will have the opportunity to add the new Group ID.
- As of Build 74, if you enter a valid 2 letter state code as the Group ID, DynamicZip will automatically add a “group” containing only that state. In that case, the next two steps can be skipped.
- Select Add, and the DZ State Group Setup window will open allowing you to add as many states as desired to the Group ID.
- Close the DZ State Group Setup window when finished.
- The single state (or group of states) should now be displayed in the scrolling window.
