The file KD581R.DIC contains any modifications that you make to DynamicZip reports. The original report is stored in KD581.DIC (the DynamicZip application dictionary) and is not modified. After modifying a report, you must grant security to each user and company that will be using that report. This is done by choosing Setup » System » Security from the menu.
The above error indicates that the report you are trying to print has been modified and you have been granted security to it - but the file KD581R.DIC is either missing, damaged, or no longer contains the current report. When this occurs, the problem is complicated by the fact that you will probably not be able to revoke the security - you can't grant or revoke security to a report that does not exist.
Try running the Microsoft Dynamics GP Reconcile Utility to correct this situation. This utility can be accessed via Tools » Utilities » System » Reconcile » Security Restrictions.
Alternately creating a KD581R.DIC that is not damaged and contains the current report will get you past this dilemma.
One way to accomplish this is as follows:
To modify the security record:
To preserve the modified report:
If you have a copy of the original KD581R.DIC that contains the modified version of the report, you may be able to salvage it by using the Import feature of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Report Writer. Please refer to the Microsoft Dynamics GP documentation or online help for more information on this feature.
