====== Import Exempt Customer Taxable Status menu ======

This feature is available via the menu choice DynamicZip > Import Exempt Customer Taxable Status when the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Customer Supplement window]] is open in Microsoft Dynamics GP 

This menu choice allows you to import exempt customer information from an Excel worksheet. When you select this menu option, if an existing worksheet is not found, a new one will be created. You can copy and paste your information into this new worksheet and rerun this process.

The worksheet must have the following column headings:

  * Column A = Customer ID    
    * This field is required and must match an existing Customer ID of an active customer.
  * Column B = Exemption Type    
    * Ignored if blank, otherwise all of the customer's addresses will have their [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exemption Type]] set to this value.
  * Column C = State Code    
    * If State Code is blank, the Customer's default [[dynamiczip:glossary:Taxable Status]] will be set to Exempt. If not blank, Allow override by state will be selected and the Customers State [[dynamiczip:glossary:Taxable Status]] will be set to Exempt.
    * This field is requried if you are setting the [[dynamiczip:windows:Tax Exemption Number]] and [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exempt Status Expiration Date]]. 
  * Column D = [[dynamiczip:windows:Tax Exemption Number]]     
    * Ignored if blank, otherwise the customer supplement state override record's Tax Exemption Number will be set to this value.
  * Column E = Expiration Date    
    * Ignored if Tax Exemption Number is blank, otherwise the customer supplement state override record's [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exempt Status Expiration Date]] will be set to this value. If Expiration Date is blank and Tax Exemption Number is not blank, the customer's exemption will be set to not expire.

**NOTE:** This process sets the customer's [[dynamiczip:glossary:Taxable Status]] It does __NOT__ assign [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exempt Tax Schedule]] to the customer. After completing this import, use the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Assign Customer Tax Schedules window]] to update customer tax schedule assignments.

This menu choice was added with [[dynamiczip:install:mods:release:build71:build71_sp2a|DynamicZip Build 71.2a]] and then enhanced with [[dynamiczip:install:mods:release:build72:build72|Build 72]].
