======DZ Naming Rules window====== Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Setup >> DynamicZip >> Geocodes >> click Rules. //Permission to access this window is contained in the [[dynamiczip:setup:security:Tax Setup Task]] // ===== Window Description ===== This window((This window was discontinued in Build 74)) provides a way for you to control how city and county names are spelled and/or abbreviated. When we introduced our naming rules, there were many inconsistencies in the names as they existed in the [[dynamiczip:glossary:rate_and_boundary_database|Rate & Boundary Database]] Our naming rules provide a way to standardize the names which makes it easier to lookup a city with the [[dynamiczip:windows:Dz_Zip_Address_Lookup_Window|DZ Zip Address Lookup window]]. Perhaps more importantly, by abbreviating the city names, it is more likely that the county name will be included in the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Tax Schedule Description]]. This can be important when manually selecting a tax schedule, or when verifying the [[dynamiczip:features:schedule_assignment:Tax Schedule Selection]]. * Click the print icon to generate a report of the Naming Rules. The [[dynamiczip:reports:DZ Report Temp report]] is used for this report. * See also [[dynamiczip:install:mods:release:build70:improved_naming_rules_application|Improved Naming Rules Application]] ---- [[dynamiczip:windows:windows|DynamicZip Windows]]
