DynamicZip has two different formats for Tax Details to distinguish between [[dynamiczip:glossary:Zip Code Tax Schedule]] and [[dynamiczip:glossary:statewide_tax_schedule|Statewide Schedules]]. Tax Details that get created for Zip Code Tax Schedules have the following Tax Detail ID format. * Character 1 - 2 **State** * State code. * Character 3 **Tax Type** * S = Tax on sales. * U = Use tax on purchases. * Character 4 **[[Jurisdiction Level]]** * S = State tax. * M = State local tax ((Areas within a state that includes multiple counties.)) * N = County tax. * L = County local tax ((Areas within a county that includes multiple cities and/or unincorporated areas.)) * T = City tax. * Y = City local tax ((Areas within a city.)) * Character 5 - 11 **Description** * Condensed description. * Character 12 - 14 **Distinction** * Sequential number to make each ID unique. * Character 15 **Qualifier** * [blank] = Normal taxable. * A = Above the split when the tax rate changes based on sale amount.((No longer in use.)) * V = City tax on sales above the county maximum taxable or maximum tax.((No longer in use.)) * X = Normal exempt. * Y = Exempt from [A].((No longer in use.)) * Z = Exempt from [V].((No longer in use.))
