======Import Status====== DynamicZip Import Status is one of the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import_restrictions|Rate & Boundary Import Restrictions]] used to manage the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|rate & boundary import]] of the [[dynamiczip:glossary:rate_and_boundary_database|Rate & Boundary Database]]. This is not required unless your situation is unusual in some way. ===== Tax Schedule Import Status ===== **Using the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Schedule Supplement window]]** ====Update Both==== Update Both is the default, which gives the import process free reign to modify the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Tax Detail]] and the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Tax Schedule]]. ====Update Detail Only==== Update Detail Only gives the import process the power to modify the tax details, but not the power to add or remove any tax details to or from the tax schedule. This option allows you to control which tax details are used while still allowing the import to update the tax details' tax rates. =====Tax Detail Import Status===== **Using the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Detail Supplement window]] ** ====Update Both==== Update Both is the default, which gives the import process full power to update the tax detail and to add it to (or remove it from) [[dynamiczip:glossary:Zip Code Tax Schedule]]. This is the normal selection for all tax details. ====Update Detail Only==== When this status is selected in the DZ Tax Detail Supplement window it gives the import process the power to update the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Tax Detail]] but __//not//__ the power to add it to (or remove it from) Zip Code Tax Schedule. This selection allows you to control which jurisdictions are subject to the tax detail while allowing the import process to update the tax detail for changes such as the tax rate. This setting has no affect on which tax schedules get deleted by the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|Rate & Boundary Import]]. When this status is selected in the DZ Tax Schedule Supplement window, it prevents the Rate & Boundary Import from deleting the tax schedule or adding or removing tax details to/from it. This is especially useful for manually created custom tax schedules whose ID's start with a ZIP Code. To further distinguish between this setting in the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Detail Supplement window]] and in the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Schedule Supplement window]] * The DZ Tax Detail Supplement window affects a single tax detail regardless of the tax schedules it is assigned to. * The DZ Tax Schedule Supplement window affects a single tax schedule regardless of the tax details assigned to it. ====Update Schedule Only==== This status gives the import process the power to add the tax detail to (or remove it from) [[dynamiczip:glossary:Zip Code Tax Schedule]] but __//not//__ the power to update the tax detail. This selection allows you to control the tax rate or some other tax detail setting while allowing the import process to control which jurisdictions are subject to the tax detail. ====Update Neither==== This status means the import process will ignore the tax detail completely; it will not be updated, nor will it be added to or removed from Zip Code Tax Schedule ---- [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Detail Supplement window]] \\ [[dynamiczip:glossary:Glossary]]\\
