====== Rate & Boundary Import Restrictions ====== DynamicZip provides various ways to control which records are updated by the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|Rate & Boundary Import]] process. * Restrict an Entire State by Detail Level: You can exclude jurisdictions from the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|Rate & Boundary Import]] by selecting the check box next to the detail level(s) you do not want to import on the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ State Setup window]] For instance, you may only need to collect state tax on your sales in a particular state, and you do not want the tax schedule to include county, city or local taxes. By selecting all of the Exclude from Import check boxes, those detail levels will not be imported leaving only the state tax detail(s) to be imported. * Restrict a Tax Detail by [[dynamiczip:glossary:Import Status]]: You can prevent the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|Rate & Boundary Import]] from modifying the tax detail or from adding it to or removing it from tax schedules. Use the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Detail Supplement window]] for this purpose. If you want to modify the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Import Status]] for a large number of Tax Details, you can use the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Modify Detail Supplement window]]. * Restrict a Tax Schedule by [[dynamiczip:glossary:Import Status]]: You can prevent the [[dynamiczip:features:import:rate_and_boundary_import|Rate & Boundary Import]] from deleting the tax schedule and from adding or removing tax details to or from the tax schedule. Use the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Tax Schedule Supplement window]] for this purpose. **NOTE:** This restriction is new in [[dynamiczip:install:mods:release:build72:build72|Build 72]] and not available in earlier builds. **NOTE:** Use the [[dynamiczip:reports:Zipsales Database Import Restrictions Report|Rate and Boundary Import Restrictions report]] to see what import restrictions are currently in place.
