====== Tax Exemption Certificates ====== ====How does DynamicZip manage tax exemption certificates?==== The [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Customer Supplement window]] contains two fields for managing state issued tax exemption certificates. They are the [[dynamiczip:windows:Tax Exemption Number]] and [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exempt Status Expiration Date]] fields. To setup a tax exemption certificate for a customer: - Open the [[dynamics:windows:Customer Maintenance window]]. - Enter or lookup the Customer ID. - Press Ctrl+1 or navigate to Additional >> DZ Customer Supplement to open the DZ Customer Supplement window. - Set the customer's [[dynamiczip:glossary:Base Taxable Status]] to Taxable. - Turn on the Allow Override by State checkbox. - Enter the state code for which a certificate has been provided. - Set the [[dynamiczip:windows:State Taxable Status|Allow Override by State]] to Exempt. - Type in the Tax Registration Number, a.k.a. the [[dynamiczip:windows:Tax Exemption Number]]. (optional) - Set the [[dynamiczip:glossary:Exempt Status Expiration Date|expiration date]]. - Press Save.
