======How can I find the Exempt Amount of Items Over $5,000 for FL tax reporting?====== Several counties in Florida have a maximum taxable amount of $5,000.00. Items costing over $5,000 are partially exempt at the county level. In other words, just the first $5,000 is taxed by the county. You may be required to report the exempt amount of items over $5,000. To find this amount print the following report and then follow the steps below. ====Report:==== - Open the [[dynamiczip:windows:dz_reports_window|DZ Reports window]]. - Create a new Sales - Option D report. - Name it "FloridaCounties". - Open the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Report Section Options window]] by pressing the expansion button next to the Primary Sort field. - Configure the sort as follows: - County - Document Number - Tax Detail ID - None - Save and close the DZ Report Section Options window. - On the [[dynamiczip:windows:DZ Report Options window]] select the checkbox for Print Column Headings. - Deselect the Reconcile Documents checkbox. - Enter a document date range. - Enter a tax detail ID range of "FLSN" to "FLSNZ". **NOTE:** This tax detail ID range will limit the report to FL county taxes only. - Open the DZ Report Destination window by pressing the Destination button. - Enter the file path in which to save the report. - Set the File Format to Comma - Delimited. - Save and close the DZ Report Destination window. - Save and print the FloridaCounties report. ====Steps:==== - Open the FloridaCounties report with Excel. - Delete all rows that have a zero amount in the sales taxable column.**NOTE:**This process will remove all customer based exemptions. - Find the sum for the Sales column. - Find the sum for the Sales Taxable column. - Subtract the sales taxable sum from the sales sum to get the total exempt amount of items over $5,000. ---- [[dynamiczip:faq:Frequently Asked Questions]]
